Scott Martin

Scott has been a PMP certified Project Manager for almost two decades and has run mentorship programs for both the Calgary and Vancouver chapters of the Project Management Institute (PMI). His experience includes urban and regional planning, power generation, cogeneration, and transmission, as well as industrial development.

Scott brings considerable experience in managing complexity and facilitating communication across technical disciplines, government agencies, and local communities. His introduction to working with First Nations was as the Project Manager for the Culliton Creek Project constructed north of Squamish as part of the Clean Power Call. This work raised his interest in projects that empower communities.  More recent projects have included the redevelopment of industrial buildings into research laboratories, work with startups on renewable natural gas and carbon nanofiber and resource planning for remote communities in southern Labrador.

Scott is based in Powell River BC, and when not at his desk he can often be found trying to catch kids and cats since his family fosters kittens for the local SPCA.
